How To Set & ACTUALLY Accomplish Your Goals

Follow your heart

Make sure that your goals are in line with your own deeply held values. You’ll never be able to stick to your plans unless they truly motivate you. That’s why you need to set up goals that are right for you and that match the priorities in your life.

We recommend spending some time really thinking about what moves you. Where do you want to be in five years, or in ten years? What kind of life would you like to build for yourself?

Break it down

Nobody achieves their master plan overnight. You’re going to have to break your goals down into small, manageable pieces. Experts suggest creating SMART goals. That means coming up with goals which are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

Instead of making vague plans like “save money” or “lose weight,” you can create SMART goals like “save $50 every month” or “go to the gym twice a week.” The more specific your goals are, the easier it is to stay on track.

Put it in writing

If you write down your action plan, you’re much likelier to stick to it. We recommend putting your goals in writing as soon as possible. Use a high-quality planner to lay out your long-term goals and all of the steps you’ll need to take in order to get there.

Build in deadlines and benchmarks so that you can track your progress along the way. And enjoy the feeling of success as you achieve your goals like a boss.
